Free to host. You keep your listed price.
There is no subscription, no listing fee and no charge for free gatherings or RSVPs. When something is paid, the buyer pays the Sound of Karma service fee and card processing on top of your price — so what you set is what lands in your payout.
The fees, in full.
The same two fees apply to every paid purchase: tickets, private sessions, memberships and Community Sponsorships. They are always shown separately at checkout before anyone pays.
Sound of Karma service fee
3.5% + $1.50
Per item (per ticket, session, or monthly payment).
Card processing
2.9% + $0.30
Per order, passed through at cost — Sound of Karma does not mark it up. Because the card network takes its cut of the grand total, the amount shown at checkout is calculated on the full total.
- Free events, free RSVPs and follows: no fee at all.
- No monthly subscription and no listing fee, ever.
- Your full listed price goes to your payout account.
- Refunds return the buyer's payment through the same path.
- Earned Karma credit can reduce the Sound of Karma service fee; it never covers card processing.
- Payouts are set up only when you decide to charge for something.

Tickets
Free or paid, in person, live online or replay. Free tickets cost nothing. Paid tickets carry the two fees above, added on top of your price.
Private sessions & memberships
One-to-one bookings and monthly memberships use the same fee structure. Monthly payments carry the fee on each payment, shown to the member before they subscribe.
Community Sponsorships
Voluntary monthly backing from people who want to support your work. Same fees, same payout. Sponsorship includes no class, content or perk obligation.
Common questions
Is there a monthly cost to host?
No. Creating a host page, publishing gatherings and collecting free RSVPs cost nothing. Fees apply only to paid purchases.
Can I absorb the fees instead of the buyer?
Not today. Fees are added on top of your listed price at checkout, so your payout always matches the price you set. If you want a specific all-in total, set your price accordingly.
When do I get paid?
Payments go to your own connected payout account on your payout schedule. Sound of Karma does not hold your money.
What happens with refunds?
A refund returns the buyer's payment through the same path and revokes paid access. Access is only restored or revoked once the refund actually succeeds.
What are Karma credits?
Credits you earn through the community growth program can offset Sound of Karma's own service fee. They are never cash, never transferable, and never cover card processing.
Do these numbers ever change?
This page reads the fees the checkout actually charges, so it updates with them. Purchases already made keep the terms shown at the time of payment.
