Membership or Community Sponsorship: what is the difference

A membership buys stated benefits. A Community Sponsorship includes nothing at all.

Membership

A monthly payment to a host in exchange for the benefits that host states. Some benefits are enforced by the site automatically — for example a member discount on that host's own offers. Anything else listed is provided by the host themselves.

Community Sponsorship

Voluntary monthly backing so a studio or host can keep creating experiences. It includes no classes, no content and no perks, and it never earns a badge or any status.

Community Sponsorship is a monthly payment to the host, not a charitable-donation feature. Sound of Karma does not promise tax deductibility and does not provide a charitable-donation receipt through this feature. It is not advertising or an endorsement, and it does not guarantee the studio continues.

Both are per host. Nothing you pay one host applies to another.
